Dan Lau, principal of DANKA Enterprise, is a technology consultant with over thirty years of computer industry experience. He consults to school districts and corporations in the acquisition of technology, to companies marketing technology-based products to schools, and to school districts and companies designing and implementing high-technology training and education solutions. He has developed strategic plans, managed all aspects of the procurement and implementation of hardware and software, recommended and integrated existing hardware/software products, and developed specific applications to solve user problems.
Dan has coordinated an effort to link four independent school districts (100,000 students), a two-campus community college district, and a 22-campus state university system to local municipal library and community resources. Project SHARE (School and Home Access to Resources for Education) is designed to connect learners with learning resources, wherever they may reside.
Dan served for eight years as a member of the Arthur Andersen School of the Future team. He has served on state and regional educational planning committees in the State of California, as well as held top sales, marketing, and program development positions in educational hardware/software companies. He also works with architects in the planning of new high-technology facilities and the design of voice, video, and data communication networks to integrate the flow of information within a facility and between multiple facilities.
