"Our childrenís minds shape the future. Giving them the tools to sculpt is vital to our success." - Jeanette Hammock
Jeanette Hammock has dedicated her career in technology to the educational space. Since the early 1990s, she has contributed to the educational community through career and business endeavors that bring innovation to our classrooms.
Upon graduation from the University of Utah Computer Science department, Jeanette worked with Utah Education Network, which was chartered to bring the Internet to every classroom in Utah. Jeanetteís role in the project was to develop Internet-based applications that engaged students and educators in a connected experience, by designing and implementing software tools such as lesson plan builders, curriculum projects, and online teaching environments.
The lure of the market next took Jeanette into the higher-education space, and she became the chief architect for an Internet startup, Campus Pipeline, which built higher-education Internet portals. At Campus Pipeline, she helped establish the need for Internet portals ñ not just jump pages anymore ñ in educational environments.
K-12 was Jeanetteís love, so in 2000 she co-founded and is still currently the chief technology officer for TrueNorthLogic. TrueNorthLogic provides Kindergarten through grade 12 educational institutions with the tools and vision to create a full knowledge platform.
TNLís platform starts with the Teachers. Student success hinges on teacher success. TNLís platform allows institutions to implement and monitor teacher workforce development through portfolio management, professional development, mentoring, and career planning, ultimately tying teacher success to student success. TNLís technology brings all the resources together to ensure teachers the kind of support they need to be the best at what they do.
