Howard Lurie is the associate director for Educational Productions at WGBH Boston. Howard is responsible for business development, product licensing, and new partnerships for Educational Productions, including Teachers' Domain - an award-winning digital portal used by hundreds of thousands of educators and students worldwide.
Originally a teacher of history, Howard has extensive expertise in digital education, product development, and project management. He has been involved in the development of online professional development services and resources since the early 1990s. Howard has worked closely with a variety of educational technology initiatives, including American Memory, the Pearson Foundation, New Media Literacies/MIT, and Facing History and Ourselves.
Howard has successfully created partnerships with Fujitsu Corp., the Amgen Foundation, and the Bureau of Indian Affairs/U.S. Department. of the Interior.
Howard received a BA in History and Economics from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst and an MAT from Teachers' College, Columbia University.
