Karen Carlsen Roche
Karen Roche began a career with Electronic Data Systems Corporation (EDS) in Bethesda, Maryland. In her last position, as procurement manager, she was responsible for overseeing the production of deadline-based proposals for the procurement of government contracts.
After starting a family, Karen moved to Concord, North Carolina, where she focused on raising her family. During this time, she held numerous leadership roles for various charitable organizations in her community. She was also heavily involved in the local public school system.
Most recently, Karen was instrumental in the opening of Wishing Well, a cancer-care specialty shop located in the Batte Cancer Center at CMC-NorthEast Medical Center in Concord. She is now a board-certified mastectomy fitter and assists women facing the challenges of breast cancer. Wishing Well also provides products that assist all of the center's cancer patients as they undergo various treatments for their disease. Karen is thrilled to be an integral part of Wishing Well, which is now being used as a model for the other hospitals in the region.
In her free time, Karen enjoys boating, reading, and exercising.
