Fabienne Jolivert will graduate from Thunderbird School of Global Management in December 2012 with an MBA focused in International Management and Finance. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in International Business from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
Originally from Haiti, Fabienne has lived and worked in Washington, D.C., for five years, where she has worked in client relationship management and financial compliance. After the devastating 2010 earthquake in Haiti, Fabienne returned to Port au Prince and took over the management of her late father's construction company. As the firm's operations manager, she managed a team of eight full-time employees and over 20 contractors and oversaw the daily business activities of the company. After completing her MBA, Fabienne plans to work in economic development, more precisely private sector development, in emerging economies.
Fabienne is an avid traveler and is passionate about history and culture and their influence on a nation's economic wellbeing. She will be spending July and August of 2012 in Monrovia, Liberia, where she will work on a strategy and framework to promote social impact investing and attract international foundations and investors to Liberia.
