With more than 30 years' experience in the medical-devices field, Marc Fine, MPH, has had a hand in several major breakthrough initiatives, including Interson's SeeMore USB ultrasound probe, Diasonics (first digital ultrasound imaging system), Teknar (first bi-plane prostate imaging system), SRI International (da Vinci Robotic Surgery System), and Siemens (first 3D C-Arm), among others.
Marc is vice president of Marketing and Business Management at OtoNexus Medical Technologies, which is commercializing an ultrasound medical device to instantly and accurately diagnose middle-ear infections, or Otitis Media, in children and adults. Otitis Media is the #1 reason for antibiotic prescriptions in children and the #1 cause for surgery in children, yet clinical studies consistently show error rates in diagnoses averaging 50%.
Marc has a passion for developing medical technologies that will decrease risks, improve outcomes, and decrease healthcare costs. He has a successful track record helping companies with medical devices to bring products to market. His focus is on marketing, product development, strategic planning, business development, regulatory affairs, and clinical trials. Marc received his BSN from UC San Francisco and his MPH from UC Berkeley.
