Chris Lewter is the currently the president of Verizon Wireless' Mountain Region. Chris is responsible for sales, operations, financial performance, and the overall customer experience across the company's five-state region (Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Utah, and Wyoming).

Chris leads a team of over 1,700 employees and manages a budget in excess of $1.5 billion. As region president since 2012, he has achieved leading growth within Verizon Wireless by specializing in business operation turnaround, executive leadership development, distribution design, and innovative business model creation.

Chris has also served as executive director of Business Marketing and Telesales for Verizon Wireless' Midwest region and was responsible for sales and service to business and government accounts in the area.

In previous assignments for Verizon, Chris has served as a national account manager responsible for developing and managing Fortune 1000 customers. He has also served as regional data director in Michigan, Indiana, and Kentucky, where he was responsible for the data sales performance across the retail, indirect, and B2B channels, as well as serving as director of business sales in the same region.

Chris has more than 17 years' experience in the telecommunications industry, starting with Lucent Technologies, then joining a Verizon Wireless legacy company in Warrendale, Pennsylvania, as data solutions manager in 1999.

Chris received a bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Bowling Green State University in Ohio.
