Bo Landin is the founding director of Scandinature Films. He holds a BSc in Biological and Environmental Sciences and has 40 years of experience as a science, natural history, and environmental writer and producer for magazines, books, radio, and television.

In 1976, Bo set up and run as its executive producer and presenter the environmental program for Swedish National Radio. In 1984, he set up the weekly environmental program for Swedish Television and presented the acclaimed show for several years, setting a benchmark for environmental films and reporting on European and world television. Films from this period include Prix Italia winner Arctic Tragedy and the winner of the Grand Prix at the European Environmental Film Festival, Cubatao - the Valley of Death.

From 1990 to 2002, Bo was the host and producer of Swedish commercial broadcaster TV4's regular natural history program, one of the most successful programs on Swedish television. Bo's groundbreaking books and films have won multiple Swedish and international awards, many times bringing new environmental topics to the forefront and creating discussions and debate leading to political changes and legislative measures. He was awarded the Swedish Rosén Award by the Swedish Research Council for his outstanding popular-science writing.

International productions (for broadcasters including the Discovery Channel, National Geographic, BBC, WDR/Germany, France 5, and others) include, as executive producer: Laponia, Wolverine - The Last Phantom, Cheetahs - Running for Their Lives (Genesis Award winner, "Best Cable Documentary US," 1998), Nagarhole - Tales from an Indian Jungle, Taiga - Forests of Frost and Fire (Grand Prix winner, European Wildlife Film Festival, 1999), The Death of a Bison Bull (Grand Prix winner, Eco Film, 1999), Last Roar of the Tiger, and Indian Leopards: The Killing Field.

As a producer / director / writer for science documentaries, Bo's work includes Secrets of the Pharaohs, Voices from the Desert - The Dead Sea Scrolls, Surviving the Ice Age, Viking Voyages, and internationally award-winning films including Yellowstone - America's Eden, Tundra Hunters, and Living with Wolves. Most recently, Bo produced and directed Ice Hotel, Ultimate Cruise Ship: Freedom of the Seas, Nature's Dance (for Discovery Channel), Iceland Volcano Eruption (Emmy-nominated for Cinematography), Into Iceland's Volcano, and World's Largest Cruise Ship (for the National Geographic channel).

In 2005, Bo produced and directed his first feature film, Macbeth, set in a landscape of snow and ice, with actors performing in the Sami language. The film was the winner at the 2006 European Minority Film Festival in Germany. His 2009 feature documentary Learning from Light - The Vision of I.M. Pei has won acclaim at film festivals worldwide.

For more than 20 years, Scandinature Films has operated out of the USA. Bo resides in Heber City, Utah.
