Scott RidoutFiRe/Rodel Thunderbird Intern,
Scott Ridout is a 2015 Fire / Rodel Thunderbird intern and a master's student at the Thunderbird School of Global Management, concentrating on marketing. Upon graduating from Thunderbird, Scott aspires to work in the digital marketing industry focusing on PPC and SEO strategy.
Prior to Thunderbird, Scott attended the Barrett Honors College at Arizona State University, where he studied Political Science, Economics, and Arabic. While at ASU, Scott interned for the US Department of State, where he was a lead intern for the Executive Office on Near Eastern Affairs. Upon graduating from ASU, Scott studied Arabic in Amman, Jordan, through the US Department of State's Critical Language Scholarship.
Scott has since transitioned away from the political sphere and is now focusing on digital marketing. During his first semester at Thunderbird, he interned for Istizada, a digital-marketing agency that focuses on the Arabic-speaking world, where he published creative content and managed paid search campaigns. This past summer, Scott interned for another digital-marketing agency, iProspect, where he worked on global paid search campaigns, utilized his foreign-language skills, and gained a practical knowledge of client-agency relationships.
At Thunderbird, Scott has participated in a number of school-related projects, including leading a Thunderbird team to compete in Google's online marketing challenge, studying abroad in Peru, and consulting with Thunderbird for Good regarding its digital marketing strategy. He is currently in his final semester at Thunderbird and will graduate in December 2015.
Originally from San Diego, Scott loves the beach and surfing.
