Michael Pillsbury has spent his life studying Chinese national goals and strategies and has served in eight presidential administrations, the Defense Department, and on four Senate committees. In this book, he shares a strategic view of China's long-term plan for global domination, and programs in place to achieve this end. For those used to reading happy media stories by uninformed reporters about Chinese buyouts, investments, and "joint ventures," this is a must-read. - mra

Part I of this series was written by Mark Anderson. Part II, below, was written by Evan Anderson, CEO of INVNT/IP and author of the cabinet-level briefing book Theft Nation: How IP Theft Drives the Chinese National Business Model, and Its Effect Upon the Global Economy. This work was praised by the Department of Justice as "the best work done on describing the Chinese national model" and became the subject of the most-watched investigative segment in the history of the TV program 60 Minutes. For those who need to understand China's plans, strategy, and intent, it will provide a smarter view than is available elsewhere. - mra

THE REAL CHINA PLAN
   PART II: DOMINATION

Going Out: Expanded Domination

Those who read Part I of "SNS: The Real China Plan" will recall that we left off having established two basic principles in relation to the government of the People's Republic of China (PRC) and its global economic and military strategy (keep in mind that the two are not seen as separate by members of the ruling Politburo). These basic principles are:

1. The PRC's so-called "Going Out" strategy is the broad second phase of a global expansion that began with massive IP theft and fraud.

2. This strategy is supported by investment of both financial and human capital in foreign countries the world over. This occurs through M&A activity and the massive influx of Chinese nationals into the international academic system and workforce, respectively.

Part I of this two-part series also covered the large and expanding system of Confucius Institutes spreading through the global academic system, a worthwhile topic of concern for nation-states as well as companies, whose future employees and R&D come from these schools and universities. This week, Part II will focus on both PRC M&A activity and broader topics in expansion, including information warfare, export imbalances, industry and supply chain domination, and other forms of hard and soft power projection, all intentionally relevant to both economic and military objectives. There are many critical subjects to cover here, each of which could be (and often is) an entire field of study in its own right.

This is, therefore, a necessarily extended issue. Bear with me, and you will find a reward at the end of the tunnel.
