Kip Harrell leads the Career Management and Professional Development Center and programming at Thunderbird School of Global Management. Kip also serves as director of the Thunderbird Leadership EDGE - a program which identifies, selects, and develops an elite group of high-potential MBA students for experiential leadership and growth opportunities. Additionally, Kip serves on several Thunderbird boards and committees, including the President's Leadership Council.
Kip is also President Emeritus and Board Member of the MBA Career Services Council. The MBA CSC is an organization of more than 200 global MBA schools with more than 550 MBA employer and Business School members. In this role, Kip leads collaborative research efforts with the Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC) and the European Foundation for Management Development. He oversees the Standards that B-schools follow to collect and report employment data on graduate MBAs, and which the media use to conduct annual B-school assessments and rankings.
Kip's experience includes almost 20 years of consulting, corporate leadership, and business unit responsibility in employment operations, staffing, recruiting, and people assessment for Accenture (Andersen Consulting) and AT&T. During his 15 years at Accenture, Kip spent several years living in Switzerland. He completed short-term assignments for Accenture in more than 30 countries. Kip also lived in Moscow, where he led the staffing and expatriate management functions for Andersen offices in Eastern Europe.
