Dave Segal is an innovator, visionary inventor, and tech-smart executive who founded his first company at 23 years of age.

The first two cloud-service companies he started, which drew interest from the US military and the private sector, were both successfully acquired. Tapping into his unique ability to create new concepts and technologies, he then developed and was awarded numerous patents, including over 20 international patents and patent continuations focused on thought-controlled and micro-gestural computing frameworks and technologies that form the foundation of Naqi.

Dave's inspiration for Naqi stemmed from his desire to help wounded veterans - and those with severe spinal cord injuries - connect to the devices all around us, sometimes known as the Internet of Things. Seven years in the making, Naqi is now fulfilling that vision and more. He carries out his research with Naqi's international team and in close collaboration with Harrisburg University, which includes Dave within the university's corporate faculty. He also works out of the university's Center for Innovation & Entrepreneurship (CIE).

A sought-after speaker on the future of wearable and emerging neural interface technologies, Dave was selected as a keynote speaker for the 2016 IEEE 2nd International Conference on Applied and Theoretical Computing and Communication Technology, held in Bengaluru, India.
