This week’s television coverage of the Olympics has highlighted changing regimes:
Quaint, hearing French before English in award announcements, if you aren’t French. Impressive, watching the Chinese break the 12-year Russian hold on skating.
On the other hand, if you care about technology, you were probably focused on the Mobile World Congress happening this week in Barcelona, where the Box vs. Pipes war has finally broken out into the open.
For those who either still live in the Ancien Regime, or are so far ahead of it that it is forgotten, this is one of those transitional moments worth noting. Historians will later argue about its proper placement in time, but I think Now works.
