» Dangerous Pyramids: Business Without Profit

I was in Stockholm about 10 years ago, as a guest of the Swedish government, speaking at an Entrepreneurship conference. During the break, a young man came up and described his business concept: making a kind of online yearbook for college students. Did I think it was a good idea?

You bet, I told him. He seemed a little self-doubtful about it, but I encouraged him. I had had the same idea for our local community for some years, without doing anything about it, and I thought it would catch on like wildfire. This was long before Facebook at Harvard, but I don’t know if he pursued it. I certainly never did.
