There are many times when it is difficult to appreciate how essentially stupid and technically primitive our computing tools are.

 

Here's one way to think of it: if we just take the most basic tasks, like writing a letter, listening to a song we are now pretty close to having that down. Think how long document creation took, getting us to where we are today.
