» The Trends Driving FiRe X: Part I

Those who have been attending FiRe over the years already know that we've been copied by the best, from banning PowerPoint to making all presentations conversational interviews, from conversations at FiRe to relationships year-round, and from talk to action. Many of the stars that we first expose at FiRe end up "on the circuit" of other programs, and that is exactly how all of this should be.

This year, we're ratcheting things up a bit. This makes sense: after all, it's our Tenth Anniversary. As Steering Committee Member Don Budinger so brightly suggested, our job now is to create FiRe 2.0. I think we've done it.

www.futureinreview.com and you can follow along as I give you the thought process behind the trends we are portraying at FiRe X.

So: you can expect this again, at our new home, the Montage Laguna Beach Hotel. During FiRe, we essentially take over the most beautiful property we have found to date, and, between the five-star service and four real (i.e., swimmable) beaches, we are excited to be partnering with (eBay founder) Pierre Omidyar's delightful creation. So what are the trends driving FiRe X this year? We think they are the major trends driving the world of technology. Here are a select few that really stand out:
