Publisher's Note:  This year, for the first time, SNS and the new Park City Institute co-hosted the Future in Review Speakers' Series, bringing FiRe-caliber speakers to the people of Park City, Utah. In the first evening of this series, I had the opportunity to discuss some of the major themes we have been working on in SNS and at FiRe, with a particular focus on what we have ourselves been able to bring to the most important discussions today in genetics, healthcare, computing, education, and other topics. This issue is a transcript of the first half of this discussion. I hope that it combines bleeding-edge information in our core Focus Channels for all of our members, with a good cross-section of the areas we are working in today. mra.
