Philippa has worked within the textile, construction, technology, and healthcare industries in Australia and internationally and has led six different startup businesses. She has been immersed in the aged-care industry for over 20 years and has specific experience in the international incontinence and ageing industries.

In the mid 1990s, Philippa founded the brand leading company in Australia called Sanicare, taking the company from startup to a $30M market leader in the adult incontinence sector. Sanicare was instrumental in changing the market from textiles to disposable pads. The company was acquired in 2005 by an FTSE-listed company.

Philippa joined Simavita’s board in 2007 and took on the helm as CEO in April 2008. Formerly Fred Bergman Healthcare, the company was named after its founder, the late Dr. Fred Bergman.

In 1992, Philippa was one of two women to be recognized as Australian Business Woman of the Year. 2002, she was recognized as one of the Zurich Business Leaders of the Year.

Philippa has qualifications in business, professional arbitration, and mediation and is currently completing a postgraduate degree in Law. She is a member of the Institute of Company Directors and the Institute of Arbitration and Mediation.
