Pamela S. Pearson

SVP/GM, KCPQ/KZJO-TV Seattle, and Tribune Broadcasting Co.

Pamela S. Pearson was named vice president/general manager of KCPQ-TV (Q13 Fox), Seattle, in June 1999. In March 2000, she added the same duties for KTWB-TV (Seattle's WB). Following the merger of the WB and UPN Networks in early 2006, KTWB-TV became KMYQ-TV, an affiliate of the MyNetworkTV broadcast network. In November 2008, Pam added general manager duties for KRCW-TV (NW32TV), Portland. In September 2010, KMYQ changed its call letters to KZJO when the station rebranded itself as JOEtv. She is responsible for all aspects of the three television stations.

Previously, Pam was station manager of KTLA-TV (WB5) in Los Angeles (January 1997-June 1999). Prior to that, she served as director of Creative Services at WGN-TV (1987-1997). During her tenure with WGN-TV, she received nine Emmy Awards for writing and producing promotional announcements for a variety of programs. She also received two Emmys for executive producing local specials Tuskegee Airmen and American Giants: Legends of the Negro Leagues.

Pam joined the Tribune Broadcasting Co. in January 1985 as creative services director for KWGN-TV in Denver, where she served until moving to WGN-TV.

Prior to Tribune, she spent five years at Turner Broadcasting as director of promotion for the Entertainment division. She began her career in the creative field as a promotion assistant for WXIA-TV in Atlanta, Georgia.

A native of Miami, Pam holds a bachelor's degree in Telecommunication Arts from the University of Georgia. She serves on the executive committee of Junior Achievement of Washington after holding the 2004-2005 board chairmanship, is a member of the board of the Seattle Sports Commission and the Seattle Girls School, and is an honorary board member of the Hearing, Speech and Deafness Center. Pam and her husband are members of the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society.
