Stefano Poli develops an extended experience as international CEO of Electro Power Systems, with a particular knowledge of the Asian markets and business dynamics. After initial experiences in R&D, project management, and commercial positions with Italcementi and Italtel, working mainly in Europe and South and Central America, Stefano then joined the cable division of Pirelli, which later became Prysmian.

In different senior managerial positions, first within Italy and Europe, and then in Indonesia, Southeast Asia, and Asia Pacific, Stefano was working very closely with the telecom and energy business. He then led a turnaround project for a chemical intermediate Asian group, Continental Group, and beginning May 2012 he joined Electro Power Systems as chief executive officer.

Stefano is based in Singapore, where he is also president and chairman, respectively, of the European Chamber of Commerce and EU-ASEAN Business Council. A professional engineer, he graduated in Engineering of Materials from Trento University and received a Ph.D. in Science of Material from Northwestern University.
