Tim FitzGerald is the vice president of Digital Transformation for Avnet Technology Solutions, Americas. In his role, he oversees the development of Avnet's digital transformation focus and helps solution providers, managed service providers, and independent software vendors and their customers solve their business challenges by embracing and empowering digital technologies while adapting to or driving disruptive changes in their markets. This transformation will allow Avnet partners to achieve higher levels of collaboration with near-instantaneous sharing of information, increased efficiency, better market responsiveness, more entrepreneurial energy, and greater innovations by replacing manual, analog, and extraneous procedures with digital competencies utilizing software-defined and analytics-driven processes.

With more than 30 years of technology experience, Tim joined Avnet in 1989 and has held positions of increasing responsibility in solution sales, marketing, strategic alliances, and services across the organization. Prior to his current role, he was responsible for developing Avnet's Cloud Solutions strategy and go-to-market plan and led the launch of Avnet Cloud Marketplace, Avnet's one-stop shop which offers comprehensive solutions from leading cloud service providers, flexible payment models, and a powerful cloud management toolset. Avnet's cloud solutions offerings were featured in CRN's 2015 Cloud Partner Program Guide.

Tim also led the blueprint development for Avnet's vertical market focus areas including the VirtualPath™, StoragePath™, SecurePath™, NetworkPath™, and MobilityPath™ programs. These programs are designed to help solution providers address their customers' data center optimization needs within high-growth technology areas as well as within vertical markets such as healthcare, government, financial, retail, and energy.

Tim has received several industry recognitions and is a frequent speaker on the topics of cloud computing, data center technologies, and the channel. In November 2011, UBM Channel's CRN ranked him fifth on a list of the "Top 100 U.S. Channel Services Executives," and in January 2012, Tim was named as one of eight "Cloud Computing Advocates You Should Know" by CRN. In August 2012, MSPMentor selected Tim as one of the world's top managed service provider experts, entrepreneurs, and executives, and he has appeared on the MSPMentor list since 2011. Tim previously presented at the 2011 Channel Cloud Summit and was invited back as the keynote speaker for the 2013 Summit (topic: "Where's the Channel in the Cloud? A State of the Industry" ). He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management and Marketing from Cornell University.
