Sascha Mueller-Kraenner
Executive Director, Deutsche Umwelthilfe (Environmental Action Germany)
In his recent six years as executive director of Deutsche Umwelthilfe (www.duh.de), a leading German environment and consumer advocacy organization, Sascha Mueller-Kraenner has helped to almost double the size of both staff and budget; fundamentally reshaped marketing and digital operations; and expanded existing programs on energy, climate change, nature conservation, and land use, as well as improved policy outreach and relevance both nationally and on a European scale.
Sascha has since taken board and advisory roles at Oro Verde tropical forest foundation, the German government's International Climate Initiative, and the anti-corruption initiative Transparency Germany.
He also remains a founding partner and board member of Ecologic Institute (www.ecologic.eu), where he has recently joined a newly formed audit and finance committee. In addition, he continues to serve on the board of Eberswalde University's Institute for Econics and Ecosystem Management (www.centreforeconics.org).
