Navya Akkinepally
Co-Executive Director, Learning Equality
Navya Akkinepally works at the intersection of education, technology, and social justice â driven by a belief that joyful, inclusive learning should be possible for every learner, everywhere. She has led teams and strategic initiatives to scale blended and offline-first learning solutions across low-resource settings around the world, including rural schools, refugee camps, orphanages, and community centers.
Navya has a strong belief in the power of leading with empathy, humility, and rigor. Her work spans organizational leadership and strategy, edtech product development, edtech implementation, and training and capacity building. She has helped operationalize organizational strategies, co-designed and co-developed innovative programs with communities, and integrated emerging technologies to support more learner-centered, scalable education systems.
Navya began her journey as a Teach For India fellow, and that classroom experience continues to inform everything she does. Whether designing educator support systems, facilitating community-driven program design, or analyzing what enables meaningful adoption at scale, she is guided by a deep commitment to educational and economic justice.
Navya is especially excited about the potential of open-source tools, AI, and human-centered design to bridge the digital divide and reimagine what's possible in disconnected contexts. She is always up for conversations on building teams that are anti-oppressive and equitable, reimagining organizational design and effectiveness, edtech, equity, implementation science, and rethinking learning.
