Gavin Michael is Accenture’s chief technology innovation officer. He is responsible for Accenture’s innovation programs, all technology alliances across the globe, and direction for Accenture’s Technology Labs. He has more than 20 years of experience in technology leadership, with significant experience in driving major business change.
Before joining Accenture, Gavin was with Lloyds Banking Group, first as chief technology officer, then CIO of Lloyds TSB – UK Retail Banking & General Insurance, and finally as retail technology director at group level. His achievements include driving alignment of technology with the business and leading the effort to simplify business and technology architectures. Prior to joining Lloyds TSB, he worked at National Australia Bank Group in Sydney and was a partner with IBM Business Consulting Services.
A published author, Gavin holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the Australian National University and a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Western Australia.
